Leaps of Faith: 18 South Teens Attend Youth Retreat

This past weekend I had the opportunity to transform into the proud temporary momma of nine teenagers.

Myself, Josh Cauller (my wonderful husband), and Bobby Donahue (faithful 18 South Youth Center volunteer), were able to treat these students to a weekend away at the 2013 DOVE USA Winter Youth Retreat at Camp Ladore in Waymart, Pa. The trip was paid for with the generosity of DOVE Community Church in Red Lion, the board members of PTC Youth Services, Inc., and all of those who helped support our Brenda’s Sandwiches fundraiser.

Six of the teens we took on this retreat were from relationships that began at 18 South. It was an absolute honor and encouragement to witness their encounters with the Lord. Come Sunday afternoon, we were sitting around a table sharing our personal highlights from the weekend, and I found myself holding back tears as these teens began to share testimonies of how they had begun to open their hearts to God and how they were moved during worship. Jesus is stirring in the hearts of these students, and I am pumped to see the fruit that will come from the seeds that were planted this weekend!
