Red Lion Elks Infuse $3k into 18 South

A tremendous shout out to the Red Lion Elks Lodge #1592 for their $3,000 contribution to our work at 18 South Youth Center! This is the second year in a row that the organization has blessed our youth center, and we are so grateful to have a cash infusion in support of our 2016 Summer Youth Retreat and our growing after school program during the upcoming 2016-2017 school year! Elks Representatives Terry Albright (pictured right) and Dianne Poff (pictured left) dropped off the donation on June 23, 2016 to our youth center director, Max Halterman (pictured center).

18 South’s after school activities will resume in September, offering an Open Studio art program on Mondays from 3-5 p.m., a Grub Club cooking program on Tuesdays from 3-5 p.m., and an Open Studio homework program on Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. All after school programming is free for all local teens, ages 13-18. In addition to providing enriching activities and healthy snacks, the programs aim to provide a safe, positive environment where youth can be encouraged.

Thanks so much to the Elks for believing in 18 South Youth Center and supporting the next generation of Red Lion!
