18 South bids a fond farewell to Director, Max Halterman

18 South Youth Ministries is bidding a fond farewell to Max Halterman, who stepped down from his position as our Youth Center Director on May 31 after faithfully serving our organization for more than 5 years.

Max came on board as a mentor at 18 South Youth Center in the fall of 2013. By the spring of 2014, he was chosen as the center’s assistant director. He became our full-time Youth Center Director in March 2016. He is now stepping down to pursue his passion for teaching music.

“The teens that I have met during my time at 18 South have become part of my family and that will not change,” Max said. “I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me during the past five years. I look forward to volunteering at the center and watching the ministry continue to flourish while I pursue dreams that God has placed on my heart.”

Max is a 2009 graduate of Kennard-Dale High School with a degree in Music Education from Messiah College. He serves as a youth leader and worship leader at Pleasant View Brethren in Christ Church in Red Lion.
